CK Studios is a photography studio owned and operated by husband and wife team Craig and Kate Smith. Portrait photographers and Videographers based on the Gold Coast of Australia.
Their work focuses on headshot photography for actors, corporate, professionals, businesses and personalities. Their videography includes filming scenes for actors, show reels and self-tapes for auditions.
Craig and Kate love people, and enjoy working in collaboration with their clients to find their best look, that genuinely represents their character and personality.
WHO WE ARE
KATE SMITH
Photography has always been in Kate’s family. Her parents used to take wedding pictures back in the 1950’s. They used to tell her stories of how they would take 25 shots at the most, rush home develop them and then sit at the reception taking orders. Things have certainly changed since then.
With the advent of digital cameras, you are no longer limited to the shots you can take! In the early 2000’s Kate set up a photography company with her sister in New Zealand where they became wedding, product, corporate and real estate photographers. It wasn’t until moving to Australia back in 2014 that Kate decided to turn her attention to headshot photography.
Working with her husband Craig they bring a unique partnership to their photography out of their new studio in Pimpama.
CRAIG SMITH
Craig has over 30 years’ experience in videography and photography. His first memory of taking a picture was on a Hanimex 110 which he got for Christmas one year as a child. His first roll of film finished before Boxing Day even arrived. He went on to buy his first Nikon as a teenager and was hooked.
Moving into digital photography was exciting for Craig, as he also has a keen interest in photoshop and other creative programs. This allowed him the freedom to start experimenting with the manipulation of images to create new art works.
Headshot photography is a passion for Craig and he loves capturing peoples true personalities and character.
